AMD KVM Mouse Protocol (Scewin)

Post by dermodemon » 15 Aug 2026, 10:54

So i have in my nvram.txt the setting called

Code: Select all

 AMD KVM Mouse Protocol
Default setting - Auto (simple).
Modded settings - Absolute.
I definitely feel the difference between simple and absolute. Absolute feels much more sharper
Try it out maybe it will help you a little bit.

MOBO: Asrock b450m pro4-f (10.60 bios.)

Setup Question = AMD KVM Mouse Protocol
Help String = Swtich KVM Mouse Protocol between Absolut/Simple
Token =2B // Do NOT change this line
Offset =54
Width =01
Options =*[00]Absolute // Move "*" to the desired Option
[01]Simple
[03]Auto

Isn't this a placebo? + This is only available on AM4

--snip--
I suggest that you try benchmarking this using a ETW-based tool.
xtw is a easy way to evaluate this.
Ideally, test in-game instead of on desktop.

For example:
On my AM5 system (Asrock motherboard), I was able to notice a decent reduction in DPC usage by disablng XHCI Hand-Off in UEFI. YMMV.
