Will you try something for me?
Preferred distro: CachyOs or Arch
1. :Launch options for everygame (not so important but nice to have) :
SDL_VIDEO_DRIVER=wayland SDL_VIDEO_WAYLAND_MODE_SCALING=1 PIPEWIRE_LATENCY="128/44100" LD_PRELOAD="" MESA_VK_WSI_PRESENT_MODE=immediate LOW_LATENCY_LAYER=1 RADV_PERFTEST=sam,ext_ms,ngg,transfer_queue gamemoderun %command% +fps_max 0 -novid
2.Kernel parameters for disabling spectre and meltdown mitigations, variable pci-e link state and powersaving (not so important but nice to have) :
❯ cat /etc/default/grub
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="highres=on skew_tick=1 pci=pcie_bus_safe,realloc=off pcie_ports=compat preempt=full threadirqs mitigations=off nosoftlockup amd_dynamic_epp=disable cpufreq.default_governor=performance workqueue.power_efficient=false split_lock_detect=off audit=0 nmi_watchdog=0 usbcore.autosuspend=-1 nowatchdog intremap=off pcie_aspm=off pcie_port_pm=off iommu=off amdgpu.ppfeaturemask=0xfffd7fff"
3. MOST IMPORTANT STUFF
❯ cat /etc/modprobe.d/amdgpu.conf
options amdgpu ppfeaturemask=0xfffd7fff runpm=0 vm_update_mode=0 sdma_phase_quantum=4 bapm=0 async_gfx_ring=1 lbpw=0 user_queue=0 cwsr_enable=0 umsch_mm=0 noretry=1 mcbp=0 uni_mes=1 sched_hw_submission=1 sched_jobs=1 sched_policy=0 max_num_of_queues_per_device=1
For thoose who are willing to test i suggest CachyOs (with grub bootloader) and this are steps to follow if don't know where and how put this commands.
Launch options are self explainatory, they belong into game launch options in steam, for kernel and gpu params open your terminal (console,konzole,kitty,alacritty whatever) and type exactly how it's posted
sudo pacman -S mirco
sudo micro /etc/default/grub
find GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=" and add the stuff , don't forget to close it with -> "
press CTRL + S save to save it, press CTRL +Q to exit micro editor
you're now in terminal again, u must update the actual grub config file , type:
sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg
now do the following:
sudo micro /etc/modprobe.d/amdgpu.conf
put the command i've posted , exact same order starting with options amdgpu and then the parameters, don't use quotation marks here and again CTRL +S for save and CTRL + Q for quit.
then type sudo mkinitcpio -P to actually apply this settings and reboot computer.
If anything went wrong which i doubt and your system freeze after bootup for some reason u can delete this config in following way:
In grub menu , mark your distro and press E, this will lead you to boot parameters that apply for one time usage.
at the end of GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX put modprobe.blacklist=amdgpu 3 and press CTRL + X, gpu drivers will be disabled and you can go and either edit (sudo micro /etc/modprobe.d/amdgpu.conf ) or delete config file located in /etc/modprobe.d ( sudo rm -rf /etc/modprobe.d/amdgpu.conf) followed by sudo mkinitcpio -P and reboot computer again.
!!!! Special note !!!! if u using audio device that use more than 44100 hz sample rate, don't ignore launch options and also switch to 44100 hz in os itself by editing pipewire config, some desktop enviroments may have this option in gui menu , idk :
Find following options and remove hashtags placed before them.
sudo micro ~/.config/pipewire/pipewire.conf
and find following settings and edit them as mine except clock.quantum can be higher which is either 512 or 1024 , don't forget to remove hashtags otherwise it will act as comment and will not be applied.
default.clock.rate = 44100
default.clock.allowed-rates = [ 44100 ]
default.clock.quantum = 256
default.clock.min-quantum = 32
default.clock.max-quantum = 1024
default.clock.quantum-limit = 8192
default.clock.quantum-floor = 4
default.video.width = 640
default.video.height = 480
default.video.rate.num = 25
default.video.rate.denom = 1
Restart the audio server by using systemctl --user restart pipewire pipewire-pulse wireplumber or just reboot the pc.
Using higher sample rate will cause audio dropouts while shooting aswell as more broken recoil control , this shit applies also in Windows.
// other optional stuff that i highly preffer is using 7.3.0-2-cachyos-bmq u can choose this kernel with this particular scheduler if you type kernel manager into the search and using scx lavd scheduler with gaming flags (type scx or schedext into the search)
for non native games download cachyos proton versions:
sudo pacman -S proton-cachyos-slr proton-cachyos-native // reboot and choose them in compatibility tab in steam.
edit: also download gamemode which is mentioned in launch options, outdated version can make games not launch
sudo pacman -S gamemode , it's just simple tool that sets cpu governor power policy for maximum performance, basically same as
sudo cpupower frequency-set -g performance. For having this functional u have to have PSS Support on in bios if u're on amd.
This is how your config syntax should look:

https://screenshot.cz/QXL4A/

also don't forget to disable mouse acceleration in mouse settings, same shit as windows why do even this option in enabled by default on every os.
Now go play a deadmatch or match and post feedback.

Re: Amd gpu users that are not affraid of Linux
There is so much more latency on any version on Linux than what can be had on Windows. I posted GRUB settings under a Linux post and tested just about every distro but nothing even came close to what could be achieved on Windows. Currently I have a stock Windows 11 26H2 with my own playbook applied.
