Title. I would love to see a step up by next year but I doubt it somehow.

I would just be happy to see 144hz refresh rate monitors get more mainstream attention. I couldn't find one in a B&M store anywhere in my area, so I had to buy one just to check it out. I think more people would appreciate it if they actually got to see it in action.

What I'd love is 3D Vision 2 at more than 120Hz. At 144Hz (72 per eye), flickering would be almost invisible for me. And 3D movies would be displayed without judder.

But yeah, more than 144Hz, like 240Hz, would be great, although it would be hard to get that number of fps.

i'm hoping that since motion quality is so important for vr stuff, that will give game devs/companies the motivation for that

I much rather see 100+ hz and OLED become mainstream.

We already have them. Quake series, CS, racing games...

It could but how many GPU would need to push over 144FPS in modern games? Even today 3-SLI/CFX best scaling config can't sustain the constant 144FPS+ 240FPS. Another problem some games are FPS locked, or soft cap even you have vsync off.
