BenQ XL2720Z Resolution Issue

Post by Reckless95 » 31 Dec 2014, 17:57

Just got my monitor today. My custom resolution will work when the monitor isn't in the Blur Reduction mode. Is this how it's suppose to be? The custom resolution is with 1350 vertical at 120Hz. When I click test, the screen goes black for 30 seconds or so and reverts back. Sorry if I missed anything.

Thanks, Cody.

Try entering the service menu and set strobe phase to 000.
You only get a black screen if you are using a vertical total tweak and the monitor comes with the strobe phase set to 100.
(with a VT tweak at 120hz, going past 049 strobe phase will black the screen when BBR is enabled, and at 100hz + a VT tweak, going past 059 strobe phase will black the screen)

Without VT tweaks, strobe phase will work from 0-100 at most normal refresh rates (60, 100, 120, 144).

Thank you! Now the only thing is when I'm using the street map it's still very blurry even when I have the utility set to 0.5ms... I'm also using the newest Firefox.

Edit: After fooling around... I went back to 60Hz and set the vertical back and now I can read it with ease.. Just thought I'd mention that..

Edit 2: I think it was a problem with Firefox, just tried it on Chrome and it looks like it's working now.. :)
