Blur Busters Forums

I am not sure if this is because of the blur reduction / blur busters program or not.
My text is rather jagged like the sharpness is too high.. when I turn it down it doesn't fully resolve this. I am setting this in web pages and in WoW. Now with that said I literally have not PC gamed in a couple years now so perhaps there is another factor involved like changes in Anti Aliasing technology etc. I currently have a 970 GTX and have the settings maxed out in the game. Everything else seems good but text even here as I type doesn't look good at all.

Any suggestion is appreciated.

First obvious question - do you have "Sharpness" set to 5 in the monitor's Menu -> Picture settings? Note, in the "Picture" menu there's also a second "page" if you scroll all the way down, that's where you'll find "Sharpness" and setting it to 5 will be the default that will neither sharpen the picture nor smooth it out.

Yes it is set to 5

Hmm... do you have an option of photographing a part of your screen showing this issue?

The blur reduction tool definitely can't cause this, it just changes the timing or persistence of the strobed backlight so... maybe you've got contrast/brightness cranked up too high and just see all the details This monitor really is brutally bright.
