I have been wanting to buy a 1440p monitor for a while, but I have been a little limited on cash. I have been looking at a few models that have great reviews, and are also overclock able which would mean I could possibly get the refresh rate up to 144hz on a budget! is a good monitor to consider.If you would not recommend that model, would there be a specific model you would suggest in the $300-400 range? I am also looking for HDMI input, which is why I chose this specific model as oppose to other QNIX models. I also currently am running a single GTX 780, but am planning to upgrade to the gtx 980 during the holiday season (or gtx 980ti if it is released before then) with the possibility of SLI in the future. I would be using the monitor for mostly gaming, as well as everyday things like internet, etc. I really appreciate your input, thank you!

At that price range, the Korean IPS monitors are pretty much the way to go. I have the QX2710 Evo II and it looks great and I was able to overclock it to 110hz without artifacts. However, the model you linked is NOT overclockable http://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcsales/c ... ti_true10/

Thanks man! So even though it says "overclockable" the SE isn't overclockable? That's lame! I will give the site a visit and look for one with an HDMI port. Do you recommend any monitor in particular with an HDMI port?

Or is there any benefit to using HDMI, or what is the best input that I should be using for these monitors? Sorry, I am kinda new to this stuff. Built my first gaming PC about a year and a half ago and have been fascinated ever since! Just want to get more knowledge on what is the best way to approach it! Thanks for the input!

None of the HDMI versions are overclockable, only DVI are as far as I know. Also adding HDMI adds additional signal processing, which increases lag. If overclocking is a must, then I would go with the QX2710 Evo II and it's a solid choice and has a very intensive thread for it here: http://www.overclock.net/t/1384767/offi ... nitor-club
