Should I keep/return my 980?

I may have to end up settling for a 60hz monitor, as I don't know if I can wait 2+ months before I can get an IPS with a higher refresh rate.
With that said, I still have some time to return my second MSI 980 card. Would there be any benefit to having an SLI setup for a 60hz monitor?
Thanks

there are games which require even sli 980 to get 60 fps maxed. Take metro 2033 or crysis 3. Or lots of other games with DSR 4x

Is this at 4k? I'm only plan on gaming at 1440p

Yes, DSR 4x is downsampling 3840x2160 on 1920x1080 display.
But 2560x1440 is also almost twice as many pixels as 1920x1080, so it's also very demanding.
You are running 1080p monitor right now? You could enable DSR 2x now to see roughly performance impact of running at 1440p

I don't have a monitor and running off a 720p LG TV. I'll see if I can use DSR when I get home.
So far I'm hearing that I should keep it, as it will serve as a good buffer to run 1440p games in Ultra/High for the next few years, even on 60hz.

I'd say just keep the 980. Now that DSR is a thing you can always push your cards to their limits whenever you want.

Thanks, I just gave DSR a try and it's definitely helpful on my temp 720p. SLI 980 is a HELL of a powerhouse, I expect that I should be good for a couple of years.
