Hi, i have the xl2411z V3 firmware monitor for about 2 months now. After ~40 minutes of use, i feel eye strain and headache. I use it as 120hz. I have tryed everything, Blur Reduction on with strobe utility and 1350 tweak. Without blur reduction with brightenss to 20-25 and contrast 30-40. I also use the low blue light all the way up. Still i feel eye strain and headache.
I wanna mention that my setup is dual monitor. My secont monitor is viewsonic vp2770p and i spent hour using it whout any issues. I love the amazing response time and iput lag of Benq, but I am realy considering to sell the Benq and take an ips monitor that can be overcloacked to 80 hz (dell p2414h).
Does anyone has the same problem? Is there any solution for it?

I had that feeling but after a few days and using the SRGB mode as my MAIN mode everything worked out. i spent a full day trying to get a gaming mode look the same as SRGB so i can use blur reduction when i want and now it pretty much is fine.
So try SRGB and spend the time to fix up the gaming modes too look normal, i think the off looking colour was killing it for me.

I was having the same issues when I first got the XL2420Z monitors. I found this review (
https://pcmonitors.info/reviews/benq-xl2420z/ ) with some ICC profiles that helped and the monitors are now ok to view without getting headaches. I also use these settings on standard picture mode:
Gamer 1:
Blur Reduction – off/on
Picture Mode – Standard
	Monitor 1 Picture:
		Brightness – 30 (TS1) / 100 (TS2)
		Contrast – 30
		Low Blue Light – 10
		Blur Reduction – Off
		Color Temperature –
                User Mode:
                R96
                G96
                B100
               AMA – High
               Instant mode – on
               Sharpness – 5
               Gamma – 5
Hopefully this helps somewhat.

Hi guys, again thx for the help. So, unfortunally nothing changed. I tryed everyrthing. I tryied 1rst the sRGB mode. The results was the same. I still have headache and eye strain. Then i tryied the setting that matthewdg1973 posted. Again nothing changed. I am rly consitering to shell it and buy the Dell P2414H that can be overcloaked to 80hz with no issues. It would be a huge difference between 120hz and 80?

That Dell P2414H has a 8ms response time, if you didn't know that. I'm sorry to hear your eyes are still hurting. When I was having this issue I went to the optometrist and also found out that I needed glasses. So part of my problem was my eyes. Have you thought to get your eyes check as well just to be safe?

My eyes was checked before 15 days. It was perfectly fine. Also as i said, it happents only with Benq. When i use the viewsonic Vp2770 for many hours, i fell nothing. I am afrain for my health and i am rly considering to shell this monitor

. I also tryed everything, even eco mode. Again nothing changed.
As for the P2414H, TFTcentral messure it and acording to them the response time of pixel is 4 ms. The input lag is amazingly low, only at 1.5 ms. Benq has 10-12 ms input lag. if i remeber right. So i asume that with 80 hz and 1.5 ms input lag i would be perfectly fine.
Still i fell sad for i have to shell Benq...... I will keep Benq 1 week more and i will try all setting possible. If i fell again eye strain, then shelling Benq is only way.
Damm and i was loving the Benq so much.....

Probably all led lcd monitors are not eyes/head friendly because of led backlight, I even used two Eizo monitors and also have it (eye strain/headache). I have zero such problems on my old Flatron crt.
With time eyes can get used a bit but still.. monopoly.

There is nothing about LED backlighting which should inherently cause eye strain.

If your monitor uses PWM to control the backlight level, if you're using a strobed display, or if you have the backlight set too high, it can certainly cause eyestrain though.

Keep in mind that CRTs were typically <100 cd/m² maximum brightness while an LED backlit monitor will typically be 300cd/m² or greater. Most people have their displays set far too bright.

alekasas, Try downloading the Display Pilot software and setting it to SRGB from there, set the brightness to around 40-30 and goto your Color Management settings in windows and use the BenQ ICC profile. Just maybe wait and see if after a day of use it gets any better, because I believe I had the same problem. Try not to use any of the features such as Low Blue Light because for me it just made it worse. make it head hight and sit a little back with your head up. Ofcorse I don't know if this will fix your problem but everything looking natural and having it at a ok brightness might be the cure because it was for me.
