Hello,

I've made a custom setting for my monitor with nvidia control panel: 1920x1080@125 Hz, the timings are left automatic.
It seems to work, however at system restart the monitor "goes out of range".
I guess there should be a custom setup in the timing options, but I don't know anything about those settings.
Can anyone tell me how to calculate the proper values for 125 hz?
Is it safe to use custom refresh rates?

Are you using DVI or DP? And can you list the front porch sync width and horizontal and vertical totals you are using?
Try using manual timings. Also if you are using blur reduction, set the horizontal total to 2080 and the vertical total to 1498 for a much nicer, less strobe crosstalk blur reduction! use front porch 48/3 (pixels/lines) and sync width 32/5.
(if you get a stuttering screen then try vt 1500 or vt 1502)

If you are not using blur reduction (frankly, you should) then disregard that.
If you are using DVI you will need the pixel clock patcher.
But I need to know your timings. Try manual if you can with the timings I mentioned.

I'm using dual link dvi.
The settings at nvcp (set by the automatic option):
front porch 48/3
sync width 32/5
ht 2080
vt 1144
Pixel clock 297.44 Mhz
The picture is fine, the only problem is I get out of range error every time when I restart my system (screen goes blank for ~10s, then comming back).

UPDATE: Problem is gone. By setting CVT-RB for timing. The only difference compared to automatic was the pixel clock 297.44 -> 297.96.
