Does BENQ Blur Reduction II on the XL2430T performs well as the Blur Busters Strobe Utility on the Z-Series? Thanks in advance!

The strobe utility was a front end to adjust the strobe settings in the service menu, and to work around a bug that existed in V2 firmware (mainly with single strobe set to OFF when turning on blur reduction; settings would often not be recalled). Since this was fixed in V4 on the Z monitors and on the XL2430T, it's probably better to just use the service menu or OSD (the XL2430T still needs the service menu to change the "Single Strobe" setting; Area and Intensity (Phase and Duty) are in the OSD on 2430T now.

The only reason to enter the service menu on XL2430T is to turn on or off single strobe. It might also be faster changing all the strobe settings through the service menu than the OSD, anyway, as they pop up after one button press.

Service menu is still the same:
Power off,
hold button #4 for 5 seconds while pressing and releasing the power button, release button #4 after 5 seconds.

Factory menu is button 3+4. (yes its called the Factory menu; its even named that in the hex dump of the firmware; service menu is called service menu in the dump also).

I'm American so I know nothing about foreign currency.

And I would not pick the XL2430T. Too many people have problems getting accurate color settings they want, and there seems to be a serious bug with saved Gamer profiles losing settings on recall. And Black equalizer 2.0 sucks and just makes the brightness flicker (Black equalizer 1.0 adjusted gamma shades instead of brightness). I would get the XL2420Z instead with firmware V4. Not having a displayport cable on the XL2411Z might come back to be painful in the future.

Or if you can find it, the XL2720Z with V4 for the much better (but undocumented) AMA high mode toggle for blur reduction.

There is no XL2420Z in italy, and the XL2720Z is too expensive ...
I think that I'm going to buy an xl2411z, about the display port, i'll consider in the future to upgrade if necessary.

Ordianrily I would say get the xl2430T
Even with the problems with having to deal with the "color vibrance" setting being incorrect at the default value of 10 (9 or 11 seems to make the black levels and white test in the "Lagom.nl" test show properly.

The problems are the gamer presets aren't working right.
People save settings in the game presets then when they recall the settings, the DEFAULT color calibrations get recalled, not the custom ones. It's like this :
Go to standard mode,
Save settings. Then save as Gamer 1
Recall gamer 1

the color calibrations and low level settings for "FPS1" mode get recalled, along with other settings you saved while in Standard mode :/
On XL2420Z, XL2411Z and XL2720Z, the default gamer presets default to FPS1, FPS2 and RTS.
but when you save a different profile into it, it overwrites it completely. So saving standard mode into gamer 1 and recalling gamer 1 uses standard mode settings you saved.

Ahh Ok... That's messed up, considering also that i would like to change between Console and Pc profiles...
What about the VG248QE? It's priced like the XL2411Z and it has display port... lol i'm going crazy, everywhere i turn, i found downsides...

VG248QE has no blur reduction except Lightboost mode and Lightboost mode can not be activated on a console. Avoid it. Benq Z monitors can do 60hz strobing.

I'm losing my mind
Discount lasts soon, so I've got 24h for the decide which monitor to get... Seriously i don't know which one...
I've got 2 possibilities, XL2430T and XL2411Z (which is 80$ cheaper)...

You haven't convinced me to get the 30T, because i feel like that is worse in tweaking, blur reduction, and color/image reproduction...
Am I wrong?
Is the dpi port so important to get now? (considering that I would like to play at 125hz, and i'll upgrade my monitor if ill ever have to)
Can't i solve the XL2430T profile bug saving profiles on a USB attached to the monitor?

Just import an XL2420Z then. it isn't THAT hard if you have money.
Money doesn't grow on trees, yes, but you also can't take it with you. STOP STRESSING so much over minor things and GO buy your monitor!!

As I said the XL2430T has BUGS in profiles (the older Z series had bugs too, but that was mainly due to low blue light and one other profile setting not being "available" to be selected if you saved a setting which had that profile there; that profile bug was fixed in V3 firmware on the Z monitors).

If you are 100% sure you do NOT need the DP port, get XL2411Z V4.
If you think you might in the future, and can deal with the profile bugs and working to get a good image on the XL2430T, get it.
Or pay the extra money for a better blur reduction toggle mode and get the XL2720Z (v4 firmware).
Or import the XL2420Z V4.

And stop worrying so much.
