Hi@all!

This is my first post here in this forum, hello to everyone from germany

I was very interested to see how far other members can overclock there monitor.
So i have decided to see how far i can go with my monitor too

My monitor is the Benq 2420T Rev.1.0 with 120Hz.
The monitor works with a Dual link DVI cable on an 7950 Radeon, if it's information is important to know.
Most Recent Driver is installed.

I have a test around with AMD GUI and the Frame Skipping Check to find the max hz.
At the moment i stuck at 126 Hz, its ok, but maybe someone have a good idea to achieve some more hz.
I have set my camera to the lowest iso and then i have made from every hz around 20 pics to see a skipping frame.
At 127 hz i can see the frist frame skip on the pic!

Question, how can i push it further ?

What else can i test ?

I'm not sure but it could be firmware locked as my 144hz benq is firmware locked to 145hz like many others. Also I'm pretty sure Benq tests all of their panels and the ones that can keep a stable 144hz are put in their 144hz monitors and panels that fail go in their 120hz monitors so it isn't likely you could even push much closer to 144hz anyways.

Yes i think your right what you say about the selection of the panels, it make sense to me

Must i change a setting in the AMD GUI Tool for better overclocking or is this needless/useless?
Which numbers do I have to change so I might get a better overclocking result?
Is there any chance to tweak a littel bit?

imho just different models of panels. one with 120Hz, another 144Hz.
