Distorted Pixels Help [Fortnite skewed font]

Hello, so I am not really sure how to describe this problem, but for some reason there are numbers on my display (in a game such as fortnite) that look distorted. They are not parallel or even with each other. If you take a look at the picture below, you can see this in the shield bar at the bottom where the numbers are not even and also with the wood/ material count. Even the ping number up in the top corner seems off. Not sure what's causing this or how to fix it. My CPU and GPU are an i7 9700k and Nvidia RTX 2070 Super

Are you sure it's in other games other than Fortnite?

If only Fortnite, that's the game itself. It uses a skewy font intentionally.
The game's logo is this:

The game font is intentionally skewy. It's just the game theme to use skewy fonts.

I really only play FN on my PC currently and just started noticing this a couple of days ago. I built this PC (my first time) about 2-3 weeks ago and never noticed this error before. It's also not consistent, you only see it with certain words/texts. The words in the middle of the screen "Reboot Card Expires In..." does not have this skewy look nor does my teammates name in the middle of the screen, but his name in the top left corner looks distorted.

Sorry to bring this up again but I am really hoping someone can help out. None of my friends have this problem on their PC and I do not think it's the monitor anymore because I got a new monitor yesterday and it still does the weird distortion.

I do not think this is an issue.

How is this not an issue? Clearly there is some sort of visual glitch and it is not the game causing it because I am the only one experiencing it. If it is due to my GPU I am not sure if it's a setting that I need to fix or something I can do or if it is faulty and I need to RMA it. But obviously something is wrong because it should not be happening. It was happening with my BenQ and now with my Alienware monitor

We don't know how to fix game bugs :P

You should probably post in a place where the Fortnite devs look for bug reports.

Well to me clearly it is not an issue. Not only is it not a display related issue, it also isn't a high priority bug, if one at that. It would be faster to ignore it/ get your OCD fixed. Also I've reinstalled FN and I do not see a difference. Perhaps it's me, but I really don't even see one.

Did you tweak graphics over the last while?

The Fortnite skewy-font appearance may change if
-- Display scaling is changed
-- Display resolution is changed
-- AA is changed (2x, 4x, 8x).
-- Detail setting is changed.
-- You turned off anisotropic filtering.
-- Or you followed some performance-increasing tip. Some of those tips degrade graphics.

It can be hard to help without a before-vs-after photo. All we see is the "after" (the problem) so we don't know what you were witnessing during the "before". Also, sometimes it is indeed an OCD-factor, where you never noticed something until you suddenly started noticing.

Try maxing-out details, maxing-out resolution, maxing-out AA, maxing-out Anisotropic, matching resolution 1:1, and then you'll notice that fonts often look better too, even as the framerate drops like a rock.

This is really a manifestation of http://www.testufo.com/aliasing-visibility with AA turned on versus AA turned off -- where one is more noticeable than the other (making a skewy font look better versus worse). You change a setting, then something became worse.

Here's some PhotoShop processing that produces a skew difference caused by an AA change:

Smart Scaling (Low framerate)

aa-on.png (4.39 KiB) Viewed 7495 times
Simple Scaling (High framerate)
aa-off.png

This might not be it, and probably won't help based on what I see in your screenshot. But it's an unturned stone to turn, at least.

Wait did you screenshot an nVidia highlight or is that just a really good photo?
