What would be better competitively?

Post by Nikito » 29 Nov 2019, 15:35

I play Fortnite and the most important thing for me is my aim. I played for a long time on 144 hz and now bought the Asus VG258QR, it has 165 hz and an incredible low input lag of like 2 ms in total. Earlier i played on 60 hz but long story short, my aim is used to play on the same fps. When i play Fortnite 99% of the time i will have 165 fps and 1% of the time 140 fps when the lobby is super stacked. I would have 240 fps 80% of the time and like 180-200 fps often. Im interested in the Omex X 25 240 hz it also has like 2 ms input lag in total but is it the right decision for me? Is it better to play on 240 hz but get used to fps drops (because of the engine) or just stay at 165 hz 99% of the time? Last question, is there a program that limits my mouse to 140 fps? So that i play on 240 hz and when i have frame drops my aim would still be there. Because the most important thing for me is my aim, when it would be constant with a variable refresh rate then i would choose the 240 hz. Please help me out, i dont where to ask else. Thank you!

Even if you have frame drops higher hz is better so upgrade from 165 hz to 240 will be nice, but nothing special. If price is not important xg258q, xl2540/xl2546 aw2518h (not hf) you can take any of this and will be good. I did not get part about mouse try to clearify and i will try replay.
