About to pull the trigger on Asus XG258Q for competitive Fortnite, please help

I'm from a developing country and the choices for monitors are very limited, much less a top of the line 240 HZ gaming monitor. For 240Hz, I only have Asus 248Q, 258Q and some Benq titles.

I play Fortnite and in that game, frames are not consistent. That means I get 240 FPS at game start, however, as the game progresses and 40-50 people are packed in a small area at end game, I start getting 100-120 FPS. For this reason, I don't want to buy Benq because it only has blur reduction technology that (according to my readings) works only well if you have stable FPS for example in CSGO.

This leaves the 248Q and 258Q. After some research, I have found out that 258q is faster than 248Q. Honestly, I haven't given much thought to 248Q but the general vibe seems to be that 258Q is better than 248Q.

As for 258Q now, one thread on this forum highlights the overdrive issues. So that's the only thing bugging me right now. But what you guys say about this monitor if I am to use this for Fortnite ONLY?

Thank you

Out of those choices the PG258Q is a very safe bet. It's actively being used at LAN tournaments. It was probably the best of the first-gen TN 240hz monitors.
