How to set V-sync when G-sync creates problems ?

hi
i have a hp 25X monitor 144Hz, G-sync compatible.
Some games when i set Gsync on / Vsync on / and starting game in fullscreen i have a black screen and the only fix i found is turn off G-sync for the sepcific game.
In this case, with Gsync off and fps cap to 141, how should i manage the v-sync to avoid tearing?
For example with "world war Z", Gsync off, Vsync off, Frame cap to 141 i have NON noted any tearing, but i guess that is not a rule.
