XL2411Z (210hz OC) --> upgrade to native 240hz?

Post by PixelDuck87 » 15 May 2020, 09:30

Will it be a somewhat big difference if I go from XL2411z 210hz OC to something like XF252Q/Omen25f?
240hz screen was on my mind for a while now and I'm asking myself what am I really gonna gain from such investment? Sure colors will look better and maybe no scanlines like on the overclocked XL2411z but are there any other benefits from such upgrade?

The consideration of 280 Hz 360 Hz also falls into play. The rule of thumb is upgrade of Hz should ideally be 1.5x the Hz for a noticeable difference.

However, there are other reasons, such as IPS paels, or improved motion blur reduction, or variable refresh rate technology -- depending on your display priorities.
