Even though I thought this would happen I chanced using 'Displex Scratch Remover' with a microfibre cloth attached to a Dremel bit (slow setting.) It of course just started to make the area glossy with no noticeable scratch reduction so I stopped. I'd say its more distracting now on dark imagery.
I cannot find what exact panel this display uses. Can the coating be removed as you could on older displays?
Any other suggestions? Does some sort of filler exist that's permanent (unlike Vaseline.)
