AOC 24G2 Vs ZOWIE XL2411P

Post by phaze » 30 Jun 2020, 20:17

Hey There,

Just wanted to know which one is better in terms of latency/input lag, which is more responsive, and Since I still don't fully understand the difference between GtG and MPRT through the Article that is written by blurbusters, Can some briefly explain it to me in a shorter way? and which is the better measurement and accurate overall.

also, is there a difference between for example 1ms IPS vs 1ms TN ? If so, I assume the TN has the lowest input lag/ latency, but scientifically, Idk why, if someone can help me understand it, Would be grateful :D

thanks in advance ;D

Well to be honest, MPRT is literally made to tag IPS monitors with 1Ms label. XL2411P and 24G2 are two different earths, XL2411P has really bad colors even worse than many TN's out there and 24G2's colors are pretty much excellent. However XL2411P has probably the lowest input lag in the price. It is up to you to choose between, great colors or great responsiveness. Also notice that there are alot of TNs with better picture quality and similiar responsiveness.

Actually, the new 240Hz IPS monitors are rated at 1ms GtG. Obviously, that's only a best-case GtG though, see Pixel Response FAQ: GtG Versus MPRT

Both TN and IPS don't actually hit 1ms GtG (0%-100%) for all colors, but the new IPS panels ghosts much less -- The new 240Hz IPS panels are much clearer motion and almost identical in motion quality to TN now, with extremely minor ghosting/corona differences, depending on the panel.

Exactly! As i said, if its possible they are tagging 1Ms by using GtG because its the reliable way. However most of the entry level IPS' are tagged with MPRT just to draw attention with 1Ms label on the box.
