Does better motion clarity matter for FPS games?

I am looking at purchasing either a 240Hz (TN or IPS) or the new 360Hz monitor when it becomes available. Specifically, I am wondering if the added perceived motion blur that is inherent in IPS panels is going to affect gameplay in games where I am mostly looking at a crosshair. I know BlurBusters has an article about focus gaze games and being immune to motion blur, but is there actually no benefits for FPS games with a monitor like the XL2546S/K with Dyac or a ULMB monitor to achieve better motion clarity? Also, how important is pixel response times when it comes to the monitor response time compliance? Hardware Unboxed has the PG259QN at 91% within the Refresh Window +- 1ms, but do the added benefits of the 360Hz in reduction of input lag and more frames on the screen counteract the lack of perfect pixel response time? And I can't really find any reliable pixel response time measurements for the new Zowie monitors. So what does blurbusters recommend? TN 240Hz, IPS 240Hz, or IPS 360Hz?
