I tried the script but it didn't work, one of my two screen turnt black and moving files/programs on the black screen created a white trail and multiple duplications.
I tried DWMRestore and I guess this script doesn't work eiter since it's stuck.
I lost all windows taskbar functionalities, I can't use the searchbar nor click on the windows logo in the bottom left and Idk how to restore it.
The only workaround is right click on the taskbar to use the functionalities.
Another issue is that all the desktop icons randomly refresh every 30 seconds.

Use it at your own risk :S, do you guys know any way to fix it?

Edit: Fixed with opening powershell as admin and running:
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:C:\RepairSource\Windows /LimitAccess
sfc /scannow

The icons are still flashing randomly but at least I can use the taskbar

I already mention to do the restore point before doing this for any other users, Im sorry for that, once I had also problem with freezing and I could only restore point (fastest method) but with this system I didnt have any issues except this random freeze and fullscreen

Restart of PC didnt help? Can you do restore point?

What happend if you kill explorer.exe? and re-run it?

The registry tweak fixed the icons flashing issue, thank you

Man I just wish someone at microsoft could make a simple DWM off switch, this has been an issue for years.

Im happy that the fix of restoring worked for you.

If it comes to DWM - Any windows 10 simply can't run properly without it, dunno about debloated Windows... Thats the point and sad story about it... also it might cause some problem and its hard to go around it because windows 10 is in relationship with dwm and it can't live without dwm I guess. But for gaming session I think it should be fine

So yea I simply just run the game first, alt tab it to minimalize and then run the bat file to disable DWM for a gaming, after that Im forced to restore it because I can't run my start menu (you would need StartIsBack). Still I wonder if there is some pro who can fix it so it can work in 100% without any freeze because I can handle no fullscreen, but I can't accept the random freeze every 30-40min.
I mean moving the mouse/crosshair of weapon without DWM feels much better, and its not only about movement of the mouse, its more also about reaction time, -16ms input lag I think its a big deal

Well I can't get rid of this 2 sec freeze in game, any ideas how to fix it? it also feels like my fpu stop working because I can feel the fans down, but not sure

I read elsewhere (I've forgot where so I can't link) that DX12 games aren't actually developed with exclusive fullscreen. The fullscreen option uses FSO and disabling it in the .exe doesn't work because FSE doesn't exist for the game.

If this is true its the answer to the problem you mention.

You can install an older Version of Windows 10 where Exclusive Fullscreen worked. Consider using Server Editions like LTSB 2016 or LTSC 2019 which have it working perfectly plus the default Bloatware is way less running currently 82 processes (No BS Mousesoftware running due to onboard memory in mouse and keyboard). You still need to disable Fullscreen Optimizations via .exe in LTSC 2019.

I ran the bat file, but i cant use the mouse in CS GO. Who got a small tutorial?
