Lowest mouse input lag with nvidia inspector? Win10 2009 + rtx 3080

Hello.

Few days ago I found this guy but he didnt reply me if these tweaks works for windows 10 + also what about nvidia reflex:

viewtopic.php?p=59938#p59938

So I did his settings in nvidia inspector with one exception:
"MAX_PENDING_CMD_BUFFERS to 0x1 remove the stutters/lag" <---- I actually had to leave 0 here as I had it default anyway, because 0x1 (0x0000001) gives me stutter actually...

I wonder also what about MCFORCEHOSTSTAGINGBUFFERSIZE - I changed this for 0x1 but I actually had 0x0 anyway as default. Should I keep it or?
I found that "MCFORCEHOSTSTAGINGBUFFERSIZE - Sets the Host Staging Buffer Size. This is a global buffer that changes pretty much everything in the GPU queue. Not adviced to set this below 0x00000020."

Also I wonder if these settings really helping if Im playing anyway with Nvidia Rexled in my COD Warzone settings. I guess nvidia reflex is much better than this old stuff/trick. Im playing without any v-sync to have max zero lag, with 240fps I dont see any tearing anyway. I got rtx 3080

Anyway I think i can actually feel some difference, I just wanted to confirm that with rest if it works for anyone else, and we talking here about win 10 ofc to be sure

I tested it again and I can see the difference on my desktop but in game (dx12) my mouse isnt that fast as on desktop. why is that?
i gues this valuses and settings doesnt matter in game but can be good only for desktop?

Those buffer settings work ingame and on desktop. Reflex also does something to buffers (dynamically adjusts buffer offset or something).
Smaller buffers reduce input lag but can cause instability in some games, so you need to test yourself.
0 means, ignore value and use default.
MAX_PENDING_CMD_BUFFERS - 1 is the lowest
MCFORCEHOSTSTAGINGBUFFERSIZE - 0-3 will use default value, 4 is the lowest you can use

There's another setting, host_staging_buffer or something similar you should NOT change. It may prevent your PC from booting up.

Hi!

Thank you for your answer.

I changed the MCFORCEHOSTSTAGINGBUFFERSIZE to the 0x4 (I hope u mean 0x0000004)
If it comes to MAX_PENDING_CMD_BUFFERS when I changed it to 0x1 (0x00000001) it gives me actually stutter in warzone. I assume warzone maybe doesnt tolerate changing this value to any lower than "default"? Should I try 0x2 or higher?

Also, do I really need to restart my PC after I make any changes in nvidia inspector?
I would appreciate for answer

Yes 0x00000004
I would try switching back and forth 1/0 for max pending a couple of times, maybe the stutter was coincidence. You can try 2, I don't know the default value...
Yes restart is necessary.....you could probably also go to device manager, deactivate graphics card and activate again.

MAX_PENDING_CMD_BUFFERS -1 gives me stutter, changed to 2
are u sure that 4 value is the lowest for MCFORCEHOSTSTAGINGBUFFERSIZE?

What other settings I can change for better response time and less input lag? im playing on g305, wireless mouse logitech, no vsync, msi mag251rx

Was said on discord....also I switched from 1 to 4 and it's easy to tell the difference. Haven't tried 2 or 3

what about MAX_PENDING_CMD_BUFFERS? 0x4 ok? lowest value gives me stutter, except 0 (default) but idk what is default

So if the value for lowest input lag for MCFORCEHOSTSTAGINGBUFFERSIZE is 0x4. What are such values for OGL_PULL_MEM_BUFFER_SHARED_THRESHOLD and OGL_PULL_MEM_DEFAULT_BUFFER_SIZE?
