DisplayPort issues with the VG248QE?

I just ordered it today, and was wondering how should I connect it since its already 2021 and anything other than DP is pretty old and out-dated I guess.. but actually 1 issue caught my eye.
did any of you who has / had the ASUS VG248QE experience any issues with using DisplayPort? I see tons of users complain about certain "no signal" issue while using DP with this monitor, at very random times.
and then I remembered that when a friend of mine received his a couple of years back.. it came with a DVI.
so is it a case of "ASUS knows best" ?
I am pretty sure that the DP cable that I have is high quality because it came with another display I previously owned.

have a vg248qe from like 2012 lol, works perfect with displayport (cheap no-name cable) , no problems with 144 hz or 120 hz strobed via lightboost.

you do not get any "no signal" text upon monitor wake up or just random black screen when using DP ?
this is what Im talking about, there are a few videos showing the problem :
https://www.youtube.com/results?search_ ... +no+signal
also, Amazon is filled with 1-star rated costumer reviews because of this DP issue that users have reported

no I don't, a lot of those issues are from people using sleep/hibernation and/or "fast boot" on their windows installs, unfortunately these are enabled by default but I always turn that crap off as they lead to issues a lot of the time, not just with monitors.

you know, I thought about that too.
every fresh WINDOWS I'm installing on a PC since early win7 days, I turn off hibernation and every setting related to "disk turn off" or even simple display shut off after X minutes via Power Options, I just dont like this shit and I never leave my PC idle anyways, if Im not on it, its OFF.
so I guess I wont have any issues with DP aswell, thanks for sharing that point

I cant decide between TF 60 and 80, according to PCMONITORS.INFO pictures, 60 is more accurate motion-wise but on 80 it looks somewhat clearer
