I've just had a lookout for the BenQ XL series monitors and found out that the BenQ European online store are now stocking the XL2420Z with the version 2 firmware. Prices may be a little bit more expensive, but you can put your mind at ease knowing you won't have to purchase the MSTAR module or upgrade through Linux.
