help screen adjustment xl2720z with blur reduction on

Post by davidd59 » 19 May 2014, 03:24

I'm sorry for writing because I'm french and I go through a translator.

I just bought a benq xl2720z v2, I had several questions about the various settings for this screen.

is it normal when I pass the Vertical Total 1350 the screen is brighter?
and when I validate this manipulation in the menu / system / information / current resolution it tells me 1920x1080 @ 60. this is bizar while I am in 120hz. it can not recognize the setting?

I'm a big player fps, currently on BF4, I would like an image with colors and just as smoothly as possible and sharp image.

now here is my settings:

brightness 70
contrast 50
faint blue lum 0
reduction blur enabled
Color Temp user v100 r100 B92
high ama
snapshot mode enabled
finesse 5
gamma 3
standard image mode

icc profile TFTcentral DB xl2720z
resoltion 1920 1080 120 hz with total vertical pixel 1350

you see something to change because to be honest but your site is great English and me is really not ca.

again thank you for your work and your help

If you are using TestUFO, verify browser requirements at www.testufo.com/browser.html
Some web browsers on some systems do not always reliably detect 120Hz which you need for smooth motion.

it is not my browser gives me 1920x1080 @ 60 but in the menu screen menu / system / information / current resolution.
Moreover, when I return the normal resolution without touching Vertical Total 1350 he handed me well in 1920x1080 @ 120 current resolution!

review my other questions thank you

Can you please confirm if I am understanding you correctly.

- You are getting "60Hz" in Control Panel and Monitor OSD, when you do the Vertical Total 1350 tweak?
- But that you are getting "120Hz" Control Panel and Monitor OSD, if you avoid the Vertical Total 1350 tweak?
- Are you using ToastyX Custom Resolution or NVIDIA Custom Resolution? (i.e. Which are you using, ToastyX or NVIDIA)?

Here's something else for you to try if this is correct (60Hz only occurs with VT1350).
1. Reinstall the VT1350 tweak. Try using "2040" for Horizontal Total instead of 2080 or higher value.
2. Failing this, try installing the Pixel Clock Patcher and then try the VT1350 tweak again. Let me know if that solves your problem.

In 2040 it does not work, still 60hz in Monitor OSD

the Pixel Clock Patcher installed it changes nothing

the problem is not that I have 120 hz or 60 hz in games because it's good I am at 120 hz. Motion Blur Busters Tests I also 120Hz but Monitor OSD it told me that I 1920x1080 @ 60. you me understand?

Oh -- then this is normal.

If you get "60Hz" on OSD but "120Hz" in Control Panel and NVIDIA and TestUFO, then you're all good!
If the motion tests look good (especially if better than before), then ignore this OSD message.

The monitor is mis-detecting the VT1350 tweak as 60Hz, but you're still seeing correct 120Hz.
