Long story short, my monitor one day while I was unplugging the HDMI to swap consoles around, decided to corrupt the HDMI EDID by itself.
Fortunately only the header has gone corrupt but I can't flash it back in any way, i tried i2cset and it doesn't do anything, tried with edid-rw with no avail.
I saw already a topic on this exact problem and the solution was luck (the user had a storm, the power went out and the EDID problem was fixed) but the solution of cutting the power of the monitor after the flash doesn't work either.
Can someone help me?

You need to enable burn-in mode in the "factory" menu, which should be the same sequence as on the XL2411Z. On the Asus VG248QE, enabling this (and keeping the menu actually visible) disables the read only bit so you can reflash the EDID with edid-rw in Linux. I never did this on a XL2720Z so I'm speaking from VERY FAINT memory. Your mileage may vary.

I tried with Burn-IN mode but I see no difference, the LED changes color from green to orange and when I try to flash it doesn't work.
Right now I'm trying to flash having the HDMI connected to the PC while using the DVI to use the monitor.
Do I have to flash with a specific port? Like VGA?
And if I do, how can I flash the HDMI EDID with that port?
