New To This: Monitor Suggestion help!

First off hello! I'm new to this forum but not to computers and gaming.

In the past I have just bought what ever cheap monitor I could find that I "Liked"
Currently I have a $200 curved Samsung 1920X1080 60hz
Before I came here I knew monitors played a role in how things looked but I stayed ignorant to the fact because it was just easier that way. So I was googling monitor tests and pretty soon I had these little alien spaceships zooming across my screen and that led to me spending hours and days reading down the rabbit hole on this site. I still don't have even close to the depth of knowledge that people here have but I think I have come to the right place to ask what I need to ask!

I'm almost done with a new 5950X build with a RTX 3090 founders card, the system should be top shelf. I would like a 2k 165hz+ monitor to go with it as everything I see this seems like a sweet spot for FPS for newer games at max resolutions. I'm a competent IT person so tuning something should not be too hard (if there is a guide to follow)

The following are what I really prefer unless its a total deal breaker.
27"+
Curved
165hz+
2k
I like wide monitors

Games I plan on playing and doing on this monitor:
Battle Field 2042 (I love to be competitive when I play)
CSGO (I love to be competitive when I play)
Some older MMORPG games (I love to be competitive when I play)
Excel spread sheets
Email
Browsing the internet

I'm willing to spend $700+ if its the right monitor that would fit my mix of components and games.
Any help is appreciated I really want to get something coming soon :)

Thank you all for any help!

Samsung Odyssey G7 is probably your best choice, checks all the boxes. It features 27 or 32" inch 1440p 240 Hz curved VA panel with very good response time performance. See reviews on this one, there's plenty!
