I noticed this weird behavior while watching a replay in Overwatch. It appears as if my G-SYNC monitor is trying to cap my FPS to 360FPS when it's clearly capable of 400FPS. The FPS will go up to 400 and then wander down to 360 for a few seconds and then go back to 400 and repeat this behavior.
If I disable G-SYNC the FPS flat lines on 400FPS. Test conditions are identical with a replay paused on the same second mark from the same player POV. Hopefully you can see what I'm talking about in the attached afterburner graphs.
Is my monitor (AW2518H 240Hz) or G-SYNC module busted? Does Nvidia activate a weird algorithm to attempt capping FPS in multiples of 60 when you run G-SYNC uncapped?
