Is asus' gsync module limited availability? (for the future)

Say I get a monitor but I think the gsync version's price hurts. Later on, say in a year I decide I want the module. Will it be available?

Hmmm, I dunno for sure, but I doubt it. By that time, there might be lots of monitors on the market with g-sync as stock, so I don't see why they would still be churning out the kits..

The DIY kit that Nvidia sells that works only with the Asus VG248QE seems to be sold every few month. I guess they manufacturer a certain amount and then once they reach a number they release it to the market. The first batch at the beginning of the year ran out pretty quick and then we got a new supply in April.
It looks like they are only doing the kit for the VG248QE for now so you could buy that one and get the kit later if you want. They haven't mentioned making kits for other monitors. (yet..?)
There were speculations that the kit "might" able to be retrofitted/modded to work with other monitors, but haven't seen anymore info about it.
