XL2546K & CRU Timings.

Standard XL2546K timings are as follows.

I've been looking on the forums and someone recommended different timings for 240hz.

Specifically

1920x1080 @ 240hz:
Porch: 24,3
Sync: 32,5
Back: 25,152
Blanking: 81,160
Horizontal Total: 2001
Vertical Total:1240
Refresh rate: 240.000
Hor clock:297.601 kHz
Pixel clock: 595.50 MHz

And some other people and CRU on (Automatic PC) is changing it to 48,3 32,5.

Is there any reason the timings are different? Just wondering before I change them as I have no idea what they even do.

If someone with more knowledge can explain what these timings will do, I would appreciate it.

Thank you.

The timing parameters aren't important. They basically just control how long to wait between each line and frame. "Automatic (PC)" is using the CVT-RB standard, but HDMI 2.0 is officially limited to 600 MHz pixel clock, so these other timings are just different ways of reducing the blanking time to reduce the pixel clock to fit within the limit.

He increased VT to achieve lower levels of crosstalk.

With my 2546K VT were hard capped at 1260, I tried to find the highest VT and best Persistence/Crosstalk settings with the Blurbusters Strobe Utility and this was the result, you can give it a try if you want to.
I also noticed that using HDMI instead of DP resulted in lower VT (1100/1150 IIRC, I haven't used a 2546K in months).

I hope that it's helpful if that's what you are looking for to squeeze the most out of your 2546K.

Its exactly what im looking for, Thanks alot Axaro.

And about DyAc+ and AMA, what settings would you recommend for a game like Overwatch playing only hitscan heroes with those timings you provided?

I've owned this XL2546K for almost 2 years to be honest, just haven't tried adjusting much.
