Gaming 1440p monitor recommendation

I am shopping for a new monitor. I currently have a Acer xb270hu. Its starting to fail, and i need to replace it at some point soon. At the moment I don't really have a budget, but below $800 is preferred. I would like it to be a G-Sync monitor, and 1440p 144hz or higher. I've been trying to do some research, but I'm having trouble definitely finding a good one. Any advice?

In the same boat buddy, I would start by asking yourself what are you priorities in a monitor? is back light strobing for blur reduction important? HDR?
If your not concerned about strobing there are plenty of great monitors for 1440p 240hz or even 4K 144hz for that price range.

Subjective Top 1440p 240hz+ monitors:
• Asus ROG Swift PG279QM (240 Hz IPS) Native G-Sync
• Alienware AW2721D (240 Hz IPS) no strobing, great otherwise
• Asus ROG Strix XG27AQM (240 Hz/ OC 270 Hz IPS) ELMB Sync VRR strobing, strobing quality is suspect.
• HP OMEN X27 (240 Hz TN) ....its TN poor colors and viewing angles
• Acer Predator XB273U GXbmiipruzx (270 Hz IPS) heard good things about this one...hmm maybe I research this more.
• Gigabyte AORUS FI27Q-X (240 Hz IPS) (BGR Subpixel Layout) has VRR strobing, but strobing has a red fringing effect the KSF Phospher issue.
*• Samsung Odyssey G7 2020 (240 Hz VA) (Massive Quality Control Issues) Curved.....
Edit: Also check out MSI new monitor, couldnt find many reviews though
MSI Optix MAG274QRX

if you have a microcenter near you they have the XB273U GXbmiipruzx(270hz) for $599, but it doesn't have gsync. if you must have gysnc then probably PG279QM(240hz) or XB273U NXbmiiprzx(275Hz). i wouldn't bother getting 144hz you might as well get the newest 240hz panels

That’s a good list. The HP OMEN X27 is pretty good. I have used one at a friend’s house. It has chart-leading pixel response times and low input lag. But now I’d probably be on the lookout for the new 300 Hz and 360 Hz 1440p monitors instead.

If you dont want the HP OMEN X27 since it's TN, the OMEN 27C is a nice contender too. It's a 1440p 27" VA Panel with 1000R Curvature. Apart from the black smearing I notice sometimes in Valorant, it's an amazing mornitor. Played Apex with it and I was blown away because of the curvature you do feel locked on or immersed as they say.
