Central heating radiators emitting EMF

Hi all, I recently downloaded the EMF detector app for mobile to see if there were any spikes in or around my current property.
Everything appeared pretty standard until I got close to the radiators, which sent the readings from 40 average to around 600-800.
I wanted to see if this was normal (as I’m not that versed in this area) and a quick Google search yielded this;

Anyone else notice the same thing and is this the case as stated above?

I checked it and it's true. I'm getting ~120 µT when I put my phone on the radiator.
I have a very old cast-iron radiator covered with a few layers of paint.
I guess that our radiators are acting as antennas and picking up magnetic fields from some source, or one of your neighbors connected their ground conductor to metal piping. This practice is common in my region and it's stupidly dangerous.

Also it’s a red herring it seems, tried with a rad disconnected from all pipework and the wall and is still emitting an emf, so must be magnets in there somewhere. Can close thread!

Those EMF fields will dissipate rather quickly the more you move away from them. Unless your Rig is situated directly above a radiator I really don't think it will matter. Besides, PC fan's usually have an EMF field around them too, my 200mm dual fans on the bottom of the case have that, but their radiation radius is just shy of 7-8cm and then the readings go back to normal.
