many guides on the internet say to enable this via compatibility tab of CSGO together with ticking the "disable fullscreen optimizations"
can anyone here confirm that this override dpi scalling setting enabled and set on "Application" helps in anyway?

To be clear Im not asking about any "FPS boosts"
I am interested to know whether it will actually make my mouse more responsive / minimize input delay/lag because that's what a variety of users report online

I've never noticed any change from this DPI setting, but disabling FSO is still best practice for competitive gameplay.

I cant really say it "helps" but there is certainly a difference when the "High DPI scaling override" setting is set to application. I don't know why not enough people talk about the effect of the setting. I heard of this setting a long while ago from a TenZ clip and i tried it since in every competitive game i play and the effect of the setting is a more tighter/controlled mouse cursor. As if the in game sens was turned down by 2, in OW2/MarvelRivals.
With the setting left off as default, the in game cursor feels responsive/floaty in borderless fullscreen. But when you switch to fullscreen the cursor feels tighter/slowed as if the "high dpi scaling override" setting was ticked on. But with 'high dpi scaling override" ticked on, the cursor feels tighter/slowed in both screen modes.
I'm trying to figure out why, and if its better to keep this setting off or on since no one is really talking about why the in game cursor feels much slower with it on but its consistent.
