How many fps do you drop with high hz mice

Everything about latency. This section is mainly user/consumer discussion. (Peer-reviewed scientific discussion should go in Laboratory section). Tips, mouse lag, display lag, game engine lag, network lag, whole input lag chain, VSYNC OFF vs VSYNC ON, and more! Input Lag Articles on Blur Busters.

How many fps do you drop with high hz mice

If an 8k mouse uses 30% of CPU, does that equate to 30% fps drops when CPU bound?
Lots of ppl play CPU bound. There was talk of assigning the Viper core affinity in the defunct Razer 8k thread.
More relevant since the new E-cores are out? Wondering if they gave up on it..
We're actually looking at a Synapse software feature that would allow polling to be allocated to a single CPU core with "high" priority to minimize the impact, given how games are GPU bottlenecked anyways. No promises yet though, still an exploration.

Around 10fps with 4khz, 20~25 with 8khz.

Mind you, I have a ryzen 5 3600, it is heavily overclocked but it does take a minor toll in framerate.

I don't think that it will cause any issue at all with CPUs with better IPC than my Zen2, the question is: does Synapse assign it to E-Cores or P-Cores? Also, The_Fiend said that he was looking into that core binding feature, has it actually been implemented?
