TN laptop screen for 3D vision

Anyone know if it is possible to make an AUO B173QTN01.4 laptop screen display 3D with active shutter glasses?

With 3D vision becoming more and more difficult to get in modern setups, I'm trying to cobble together some options to keep my work going! I use 3D vision to look at stereographic imagery for basic mapping, rather than gaming, but I expect many problems should be similar. Only difference is that I'm required to use a Quadro video card due to software limitations.

I believe the AUO B173QTN01.4 is the screen that ships with the Alienware R17 or similar laptops. I use the screen in a Eurocom computer with a Quadro video card and have a 3D emitter with active shutter glasses.

3D works on external monitors, but would be great to tweak this screen somehow to display 3D if possible.

I tried loading an EDID from a 3D laptop of the same size that I had, but it didn't work.

Any ideas?

Screen specs: 17.3-inch (43.9cm) 120Hz; QHD 2560x1440; Matte; TN; 5ms; 700:1; 400nts; NTSC 72%; eDP; AUO B173QTN01.4

Maybe someone has access to an EDID from an alienware laptop that supported 3D vision?

I have no idea how to edit an EDID properly to support the resolutions on my AUO B173QTN01.4 screen, but maybe it is possible. I have an ASUS ROG XG17AHPE that supports 3D vision with an EDID from an older 3D laptop I had.

But, that EDID does not do the trick with my newer laptop and B173QTN01.4 screen. Would be interesting to have a repository of 3D screen EDID's out there for those of us who still have to use 3D vision. I know a number of people who would very much benefit. Otherwise, they need to spend $4-7000k for the "beam splitter" monitors that don't require Nvidia's 3D vision to support 3D.

I would even be interested in paying someone to help solve this problem.
