This s-switch bug affects the current Zowie rebrands of the XL2430T also. There's no fix. It's not exactly an s-switch bug. It's a "bug" or "Feature" in how Benq changed the three Gamer presets and OSD on the XL2430T, compared to the XL2420Z.Chief Blur Buster wrote:Try Falkentyne's suggestion too, since there's an S-Switch bug in some older firmwares.
There was a lot of talk about this in the large XL2430T thread.
A user wrote a support ticket to Benq and Benq claimed this was "by design."
I have absolutely NO idea if the XL2730Z, XL2735 or XL2540 fixed this horrible design blunder or not. That's something too expensive for me to test for others. Seriously, Benq needs to HIRE someone who is actually good at testing stuff. Like me, you or Masterotaku....

You can try Linux, if you read the Linux / Ubuntu thread, I have a long post with instructions here:zekkj7 wrote:anybody know how i can update my firmware?
http://forums.blurbusters.com/viewtopic ... &start=200 ;with a USB flash drive, --note someone claimed they had to change the flash chip type on their XL2720Z
or you can buy a Mstar ISP device http://www.yoycart.com/Product/52781882 ... ment_tool/ (the software is on the blur busters main site in the DIY V2 firmware section) or the RT809f flasher https://www.aliexpress.com/item/free-sh ... 16644.html•My flash ship was "W25Q16.Q", not "MX25L1605A/MX25L1606E". So same with the bus, I had to make sure the correct name was written.
Or send the monitor to Benq for upgrading it yourself.

I'll be extremely grateful if you could spend a few minutes answering my question.
I wanted to clarify a few things since I'm a complete novice in this and the forums. I have V2 and I want to update my XL2430t to V6, I found your onedrive folder so thanks for that. I also have linux installed but I just have one hesitation in the tutorial you referred to. You said that the tutorial you wrote was for the xl2411z, my question is if I follow the tutorials steps 1 by 1, would I be able to update my xl2430t's firmware without any problems?
Thanks a lot in advance.
