I'm almost surprised this wasn't posted here within 10 minutes.
Nvidia announced the new screen in their COMPUTEX keynote.
It's a 24.1" 1080p 500Hz TN screen (no info on whether or not it is an overclock).
ASUS promises 60% better response times than standard TN panels. Kind of a meaningless number since they don't specify what is considered standard.
The screen comes with G-Sync and the NVIDIA Reflex Analyzer.
Here is some slow motion footage that looks pretty clean: https://youtu.be/DC7mT7QqOAA. Though it isn't necessarily showing off the most challenging motions.

Interested! lol

I can't wait to see this Benchmarked, and to see it myself some day. I really hope we see more companies releasing these. This is incredible.

Damn, such a refresh rate would obviously be very difficult to achieve without interpolation.
Oh yeah, why is everyone promoting 1000 hz? It seems like in order to make the display completely clear of blur, its frequency should be 2-4 times higher than its horizontal resolution (correct me if I'm wrong)

Would love to have one, although the TN panel is hard to stomach, not gonna lie I wish it was IPS.

Really amazed to see this out of nowhere haha especially after the video from BoE showcasing their 480hz, I hope Zowie has got something in store too for us.
Asus VG248QE, Dell S2721DGF, Samsung Odyssey G7 27”, Viewsonic XG2431, XL2546K, MAG251RX, XL2566K.
7800x3D, 7900XTX. Currently on 2556k ama 21, best monitor I have ever used. Waiting for 1440p 360hz (OLED or Zowie)

May Asus be publicly shamed and flogged if they did not approach the chief for Blur Busters 2.0 certification on their 1st 500hz display.
With a refresh rate that high, you should be able to get a very good 240hz strobed image, with top to bottom crosstalk free clarity, and full resolution in motion. Its literally half way to 1khz. Help us chief, you are our only hope.

Would the 500Hz vs 240Hz comparison be much closer if the 240Hz display was running at 500fps also? If I understand the diagram below correctly, the 240Hz display would see newer information whenever there is a screen tear with vsync off.

Example of screen tearing providing updated information for a competitive advantage.

Is it? Depends on the game, I guessvaleriy l14 wrote: ↑24 May 2022, 13:02Damn, such a refresh rate would obviously be very difficult to achieve without interpolation.

Rocket League hitting 743 FPS with an older processor, I guess it would do 1000 FPS with newer stuff like Zen 4 on DDR5
