Oh it's about the frame time alright. I play a lot of The Finals and it uses Unreal Engine so I'll check it out, but yeah as you say, such a high frequency without vrr isn't a real problem tho

Right I forgot about VRR, I use it only for single player games because I feel like it adds input lag on my LCD (27 G7 VA 240hz monitor) I know that you proved that it was not true but , but I can feel it more floaty, maybe it is not ...

I wanted to be sure that I have understood well something about the BFI on OLED's.

1/ On Oled it adds black images instead of just turning off the pixels as for LCD, is that correct ? And that' why BFI on OLEDS split by half the max frequency of the monitor.

2/ So at 240hz/240fps BFI ON ...

I mean, the better is motion clarity the easier it is to notice tearing or microstutters in general, strobing is a good example, but there isn't any noticeable ghosting with Dyac OFF on my unit and 240hz still feels cleaner than 144 ...

but lower input lag, snapier, faster pixel responviness.



The new IPS panels have lower input lag and this has been common knowledge for almost a year. The zowie has better response times though.

I got XL2420z and MSI MAG251RX.

The MSI is really nice and smooth but I still use the old benQ for competitive gaming : shit colors and contrast, tons of tearing even at 144hz144fps, but lower input lag, snapier, faster pixel responviness.

Well after a month and so, i can assure that I have less input lag with my benQ XL2420Z tn 144hz screen

I've tried in every configuration (gsync on&off with vsync on&off) while the MSI is responsive for an IPS, it doesnt reach the benQ TN i can assure that! For competitive i'll stay with my TN, but ...

Good news ! I got my bit depth to do 10bit finally while still at 240hz 1920x1080 native resolution. The issue was, I guess I did the CRU thing wrong when I first did it a couple months ago. I got it to do Native PC 240hz, but something was holding it up as far as the color depth.. Super weird ...
