Re: Are you guys still Tweaking and Search for the FIX ?
A dictatorship is a form of government in which power is exercised by one person or a group of people, not limited by law and not controlled by society. The dictator or dictatorial group has unlimited power and can make any decisions without taking into account the opinion of citizens or other ...

Re: In actual footage, what elements of HFR footage affect our emotions?
I think it’s two things: The visual aspect, and the input aspect. I enjoy the high framerate on my PC much more than on my TV, as my PC has very low input lag and I see my motions translated onto the screen with less delay.

Re: Why they still make matte coatings on modern displays
Well, many modern high-end displays use glossy screens – most OLEDs for sure.

Re: Frametime spikes
Are you by any chance monitoring the GPU Power in something like RTSS / Afterburner? That brought down my performance on a somewhat similar system (same GPU, 5800X3D)

Re: Is it bad to apply frame completion to a film, given how projectors work?
I think this is completely down to taste. I, for one, hate stuttery imagery and am very sensitive to flickering. As such, I always crank my TV’s frame interpolation to the max, and I have a really hard time enjoying a film in the theatre, as I notice the low frame rate.

Re: OLED vs. IPS for Gaming – Which One Wins?
As someone who made the exact switch in 2022: If you can afford it, go for OLED. The colour quality alone blows LCD out of the water, and the perfect contrast is great in games, especially coupled with the fact that you see details like specular highlights much better since every Diode is self ...

Re: Lossless Scaling LSFG + 48 FPS video is insane
I will also note that unfortunately the Radeon 6800 is not exceptional for video encoding compared to Intel's GPUs or particularly Nvidia's recent high end GPUs. The top end 4000 and especially 5000 series Nvidia GPUs have made massive leaps in video encoding performance.
It should be fine for ...

Re: Lossless Scaling LSFG + 48 FPS video is insane
I’m not sure if my question fits here or not, but I have been seeing lots of people on Youtube combining two GPUs (even across brands) to use one for rendering the game and another for Lossless Scaling FG. Typically, they set it up to something like this (subbing in my own cards here, despite not ...

Since you mentioned scanline sync, I assume you’re using MSI Afterburner + RTSS?
Try going into the settings and turning OFF all monitoring of power (CPU power, but especially GPU power).
