DVI port doesn't work on either computer, in both Linux and Windows. In Ubuntu, there is no signal no matter how many times I replug the thing (I'm talking about the usb "Try Ubuntu" type linux btw, not a full install, if that makes any difference).
In Windows, there is no signal as soon as the os ...

Re: Firmware upgrade using Linux tool, requires no hardware
I tried just now, nothing changed. Still Generic NON-PNP monitor on DVI, and works fine with DP.

Re: Firmware upgrade using Linux tool, requires no hardware
Flashing with Nvidia card - done
No problems occured. BUT, DVI port still in the same condition as before. It is like the port itself is not active or something. Since I am able to flash the thing using that port, and can actually get picture from the port (although it is only 60hz stupid picture ...

Re: Firmware upgrade using Linux tool, requires no hardware
Alright, here is what happened. I 've bought a DisplayPort cable and everything works perfectly. System knows its driver, and can do everything I want to do, including changing the hz to 144, adjusting with Blur Busters Strobe Utility etc..
So, the problem is the DVI port and not the monitor itself ...

Re: Firmware upgrade using Linux tool, requires no hardware
Update: I used a vga->DVI connector in order to test the D-Sub slot of the monitor, and windows recognizes it. So the only problem is the DVI mode I think. As far as I remember, I can also use the display port in order to reach 144hz and do everything I want to do with DVI. I'll go out and buy a dp ...

Re: Firmware upgrade using Linux tool, requires no hardware
Hold on, I've done something.
I replugged the monitor and it started working. I've checked the firmware and it is v0003 now.
BUT, it's still classified as Generic NON-PNP monitor. So, basically, not much changed even thought I've went back to original firmware.
Any ideas?

Re: Firmware upgrade using Linux tool, requires no hardware
how do I turn off the burn in mode? It is back to v3 btw, not v2 :)
edit: I've tried a bunch of button combinations but nothing happens. Still no signal by the way.

Re: Firmware upgrade using Linux tool, requires no hardware
Alright, done with flashing. I'm on this screen at the moment, is there anything you want me to do before I switch back to windows?
There is still no signal on the BenQ monitor btw, I didn't touch a thing yet.
