Thought I would chime in as I am in exactly the same boat.
The workarounds listed unfortunately do not work in this instance as the new .8 runtime for the rift forces it to run in direct mode at the primary monitors refresh.
Thus us swift owners are bang out of luck as we cant run the primary in ...
