Ok well that worked.
1. set 144hz
2. turn of monitor for for 10 seconds
3. close then reopen display monitor settings
4. select the new 240hz option and apply
screen blanked out for about 10 seconds after applying then sprung to life
looks gooood

Also, not all display inputs supports 240Hz. Make sure you're using the correct cable, too.
Actually, all inputs the BenQ XL2540 has (DP, HDMI, DVI-DL) support 240Hz, but the operating system might not, in which case Toasty's tools help (if the graphics card is up to it). I can only speak for F/W ...

Why don't some of us chip in and get Chief an XL2735 and XL2540 to play with? Then maybe that will help Benq release some firmware for it too. I'd chip in $50.
how about a petition to get benq to send him some review samples instead? id be surprised they turned it down considering how much ...

Re: Presenting the ZOWIE XL2540 240Hz
unless I did something wrong (right clicked on the ini file and selected "install") it didn't make a difference.
I also tried installing via windows driver update before that and it said that the the current drivers were already better optimized.. or something along those lines.
