Re: Wooting One keyboard tested against Logitech G Pro Keybo

Yes, the apex pro does seem like it could be good if their info is true. Unlike most keyboard manufacturers they actually describe the input functionality of the electronics and not just speed of the switch. https://steelseries.com/blog/worlds-fastest-mechanical-switch-105 "With it's analog input, i...

Re: Wooting One keyboard tested against Logitech G Pro Keybo

Has anyone tried glorious gmmk? Specs claim N-Key Rollover Full NKRO, and reviews confirm this without issue. However, no specs about latency and no review i found tested it. Personally like their mouse a lot, but can't judge the keyboard by that so.. It seems ideal if latency is good, could for exa...

Re: Interesting Linus video about mouse input lag

For lower end and common keyboards, there's a variety of published tests, but I didn't find your Novatouch in any of them. Generally, those keyboards all suck, so your Novatouch will probably not perform well either. Well the novatouch tkl, like all topre. was high end when new so should hopefully ...

Re: Interesting Linus video about mouse input lag

Mouse latency is already well tested, but everyone usually tests clicks. It's good that Linus tested movement instead, which adds to the body of knowledge. I hope he tests keyboard latency too while he still has his nice high speed camera, since there's little testing of the low-latency keyboards (...

Re: Full latency input/rendering/output chain test 960fps

I redid the test in destiny in 120Hz by snapping my finger at the mouse and counting frames until the view changed onscreen (to compare to linus's test as well). I tried swiping the sensor as well but it was too hard to determine when movement was detected. Same result (well, slightly worse, as expe...

Re: Full latency input/rendering/output chain test 960fps

Nice video. Thanks to you filming the mouse button's gap so clearly, we're able to tell that a human finger adds about 8-16 ms to the latency chain; I think yours is the first one to show this. Your monitor skips some timer frames, such as 5:18:398 - 412. It happens pretty often, so your camera and...

Re: Interesting Linus video about mouse input lag

Linus compared mouse latencies using slow motion camera to verify Logitech claim that wireless is even faster than wired. I think he makes some mistakes like when he talks about 1000 hz polling rate that does not matter on 240hz monitor. Results like these are interesting. I wish he could test more...

Full latency input/rendering/output chain test 960fps

https://youtu.be/6Yblf7dCCU8 I made a full latency input/rendering/output chain test in 960fps. (I saw just now that Linus by coincidence made pretty much the same thing ,but testing the sensor instead of mouse buttons, as in testing sensortime+latency+full input/output roundtrip). Result: Slightly ...

Re: AMD demos FreeSync (free G-Sync alternative) [AnandTech]

It seems there is actually some new info, and they now claim it will use single or double buffering: "We are told you are using triple buffering. There are some obvious drawbacks to this. – I think this is a misunderstanding derived previous comments that AMD Catalyst can force-enable triple bufferi...

Re: AMD demos FreeSync (free G-Sync alternative) [AnandTech]

I'm curious why they are claiming triple buffering is necessary. The whole purpose of triple buffering is to allow the GPU to continue rendering while waiting for the monitor to refresh which will not be necessary when the monitor always refreshes immediately after a frame has been drawn. It still ...
