Re: Text ghosting problem on new monitor HP Omen X 25f

Pretty sure this is a artifact of 240hz. You're seeing response time artifacts. My XF252Q has this as well. This is why I switched from the PG258Q. Even though they're both 240hz, if the pixels don't transition fast enough so you end up starting to bump into the artifacts from the pixels themselves....

Re: My subjective opinion/review about MSI MAG251RX. (Top1 240Hz IPS for sure)

RLCS really needs to chill out with his drum beating this comes across as a extremely heavy handed marketing campaign. Literally allowing no one an opinion that differs from his own and will just crap talk you until you accept his. It's not conducive to a environment where people are trying to post...

Re: Acer XF252Q Smearing?

Going to agree. I have no proof of this besides subjective observation, but I think they swapped the panels at some point after initial production run as they were having so many problems with the new sub-1ms panel. I went through 5(?) monitors due to various defects on launch and eventually just st...

Re: Acer Nitro XF252Q - Im so impressed with motion blur clarity.

I am also not going to believe the IPS claims that are floating around here. It's like people read '1ms response time' on the box and are taking it for face value. That being said, the things I've definitely noticed with my XF252Q and has become annoying is when the framerate goes up and down very fa...

Re: Can anyone help to send a suggestion to Rtings?

Agreed, learned a long time ago to turn down monitor brightness to minimum without ruining colors and closely matches the lighting brightness in the room. More then that causes eye fatigue and headaches, becomes a lot more apparent when doing long gaming sessions. I do think some people that use blu...

Re: Is Acer Nitro XF252Q best TN 240 hz monitor so far?

I think it has issues with G-Sync compatibility mode, if you can get around all the manufacturing defects and get a good panel it is fantastic. I've had my fair share of issues with it. There is a G-Sync model at $500, but I'm not sure I'm willing to put down that extra money when Asus has a 360hz m...

Re: Zen 2 (3000 series) and C-state framespikes

I turned it off, I run MSI AB and in heavily single threaded games like mobas (I play HotS) it actually made 1% and .1% frametime worse even though it was boosting properly and had the best synthetic scores. It added some sort of weird microstuttering or shutter effect to the FPS which didn't show u...

Re: Is Freesync on Nvidia broken?

Negatory. Lack of G-Sync certification can be because it was never tested or is in the process of currently being validated, not that it failed validation. It's not about it not matching, rather it's about it showing much higher and weirdly rounded numbers, 120~ in the above, 240 in HotS. While runn...

Is Freesync on Nvidia broken?

So a few months ago I was attempting to troubleshoot a really weird problem and went through a couple XF252Qs due to various reasons. This one still persists and I don't own a AMD video card so I can't test to see if this is happening on theirs as well or if this is just particularly this monitor. O...
