Re: Buying a new gaming monitor

"Maximum Pre-Rendered Frames: If available, this option - previously known as 'Max Frames to Render Ahead' - controls the number of frames the CPU prepares in advanced of being rendered by the GPU. The default value is 3 - higher values tend to result in smoother but more laggy gameplay, while lower ...

Re: High vs Low details

So given that you run low settings to game on would you buy a $350 GPU that is basically overkill or a $200 one that more than meets the demand?

High vs Low details

I am running a 144Hz monitor (the Acer XB270H G-synch monitor) and any frame rate below or close to 60Hz looks terrible so I want to keep the frame rates as high as possible. My dilemma is this, I can currently run an average of about 120 fps in BF4 on low settings. I can run medium settings but it ...

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Need some help for a friend.

A couple of friends of mine are having issues with their system when they play BF4. The are both on the same internet modem. The internet is thru a DSL that gets about 6mb down and .40 up. His ping is good to the server, usually less than 50ms. Larry has more issues than Dave so I will go into ...

Re: Win 8 mouse fix. [Fix 1000Hz even for window dragging]

I think I will wait, luck at selling used computer components has been a little less than successful to say the least and I don't think that 2 120 Hz monitors would be needed especially since currently I have a VS247H-P. The wife won't understand to say the least...

Win 8 mouse fix. [Fix 1000Hz even for window dragging]

I attempted to apply the 8.1 mouse fix but it says that the update is not applicable. I have 8.1 Pro and a 1000 ms polling mouse (Corsair M60 Vengeance). What does this issue cause. I didn't notice a huge issue when I upgraded to 8.1. I did both the Beta and then had to re-install the whole ...
