I've read a review saying the Iiyama is PWM-free.

At this point it's between the Benq and the Iiyama for me

I think my choices are:

AOC G2460PQU
IIYAMA ProLite GB2488HSU
BenQ XL2411Z
Acer GN246HL

The Acer doesn't have height adjustability so forget that one, but out of the other 3 I think only the Benq is PWM-free? However better colours is more important than PWM-free. If they all have the same colours ...

There is the eizo FG2421 it has a va panel so the colors and black will be better then most tn's. I am not sure about the input lag on it but I thought it was very good. You get blur reduction as a bonus it has a 120hz panel though. Most other tn paneled 144hz screens are pretty much generic imo ...

It's the exact same thing for the "Black eQualizer" feature, the gamer profiles have this disabled!!!

Does Benq expect the user to manually scroll through the picture modes every time they want to enable and disable Black eQualizer for gaming and desktop use?

Sorry for bump but just thought I'd do an update for anyone interested.

I purchased the xl2420z from amazon UK a few days ago and it arrived yesterday.

It's running V1 firmware, more specifically "V001-20131126". The manufacture date is January 2014.

Considering BenQ said V2 will be implemented ...

The version 2 software will be implemented in production line from March, therefore it will pass a couple of months before the monitors with the version 2 software will be released for sale.

Oh yeah good point, ok I've sent Benq UK a message so we'll see what they say. I'll update the thread if they say something useful.

As for the DIY route, I think I'd rather wait for an official version than do the upgrade myself. I don't have the tools/money at the moment, although I may go that ...
