Re: Best option for console games without blur
Some Sony TVs also have strobing as "motionflow impulse", it looked good to my eyes but the screen got really dim.

Variable Overdrive & strobing
would it be possible to maximize the OD during the off period of the strobe and go back to normal values during the ON period?, IIRC the LCD is still working with the LEDs off to allow the pixels to switch colors for the next frame. seems like a simple idea but i'm pretty sure there's a reason why t...

It's usually available from zowie direct in low quantities in a month or two, 3 months after announcement and it will be up elsewhere, however with covid19 slowing down the supply chain it makes things less predictable.

Horizontal total effects on Strobe Crosstalk
just got my XL2546 Today and started missing with CRU. i've tried to look up if the horizontal totals effect crosstalk but i could't find anything. the best settings that i found for my sample were 2080HT/1593VT at 181Hz or 2125HT/1567VT at 180hz, made sure to check the frame skipping test as i was ...

Re: Competitive monitor that isn't benq
If you're not on 60fps that's a good excuse to wait for the updated XL2546 aka XL2546S.
Otherwise XF252Q & KD25F are your options, both have a strobing future IIRC the KD25F is more adjustable with lower crosstalk.

Re: help me to choose between these 3 monitors
why 1st gen AUO TN panels?, also the panel in the 23.8 inch asus isn't that great. if you want high HZ strobing just wait for the XL2546S and even that would look much better with the 180/181hz trick. Strobing at a lower HZ than the monitors maximum = lower cross-talk. if you want a monitor now i'd ...

Re: BENQ XL2730z or ViewSonic 27" XG270?
Stay away from the XL2730Z literally the worst panel implementation by BenQ, it doesn't accept increased VT and it resets service menu OD values whenever it goes to sleep mode or you switch inputs. The strobe cross talk at 144hz is horrible and is barley acceptable at 120hz, there's a ton of inverse...

Re: 24.5" 240HZ IPS with high VT support
i'm looking at the MAG251RX does it support custom vertical totals?, if not what monitors do?. Vertical totals can be automated in the monitor (scanrate converting TCON/scalers). The job is to speed up the horizontal scan rate (refresh faster) and enlarge the VBI (longer idle between refreshes) to ...

24.5" 240HZ IPS with high VT support
i'm looking at the MAG251RX does it support custom vertical totals?, if not what monitors do?. i'll be strobing at 120Hz and a little bit of crosstalk at the bottom and top won't bother me much, can't be worse than my XL2730Z which doesn't support higher VT. i have no idea when the XL2546S would rel...

Re: Viewsonic XG270 with 'PureXP" MBR [pre-tuned by Blur Busters!]
any chance of the the exact same setup with the 24.5" FastIPS panel?.
most of the games i play struggle to push past 120-180 frames constantly so i'd rather just strobe at a lower HZ with a high VT total. '
i really hope ViewSonic considers an ELITE XG250.
