my god. How have I been missing this... I feel like I am cheating in my game...

yah theyre pretty awesome. they still have so many advantages over todays displays. its really too bad that theyve virtually died out. if only development had continued all these years...

also one other thing that seems pretty random is the way scaling works on the display. when messing around with custom 1600x900 refresh / vt tweaks sometimes the image is stretched to fill the entire display. however other times it is centered. example: 1600x900 @124Hz is centered while 1600x900 ...

before using this tweak even a strobe duty of 030 is noticeably darker compared to having blur reduction off. however after it is slightly brighter! i still cant believe it. is this normal? i knew the tweak was supposed to make the image brighter but i didnt think the change would be so significant ...
