Re: Frame time differences between NVidia and AMD?

www.twitter.com/josefspjut/status/1323611501182226433 Josef @josefspjut · Nov 3 This is an excellent video. While 200 samples sounds like a lot, I highly recommend going to at least 2000 to get a better distribution of latencies. Up to 360 Hz the frame rate and refresh rate dominate the distributio...

Re: House causing PC Stutter/LAG, EMI/RFI?

If you live near 4g towers or 5G then you can correlate your rfi emi problems with general nearby tower activity with internet usage statistics. hallaminternet.com/google-analytics-hour-of-day-day-of-week-reports/ hallaminternet.com/assets/new-conversion-rate-hours-days-week-chart.jpg cant post imag...

Re: Frame time differences between NVidia and AMD?

1. perception of time is continuous motion not an action inside time aka click. that means 0.03ms difference per frame that he measured on his nowhere near accurate or precise setup and then labeled as margin of error are what tells the actual story. are you only perceiving your game when you click ...

[Split Off From HD Mouse Extensions API Thread]

1. please stop measuring sub nanosecond cycles of digital circuits made of 8billion transistors with a message box and what syscall did u measure?! xD theres at least 10 ways combined to do it properly. somehow u missed them all. either do it properly by measuring the actual path and method of api ...

Not an offtopic if it destroys your argument by looking deeper into it. again with offtopic silencing ?

Re: Potential HD Mouse Extensions API Specification [ETA by 2025]

Looking at raw input windows API, both GetRawInput and GetRawInputBuffer functions have a syscall overhead. Syscall is supposed to be fast. Don't know why you mention context switching as it's not used by Sycall instruction. For me a GetRawInputData for mouse call takes around 4200 cycles once it's...

Debate about 120Hz Mainstreaming

1. we both know those "120Hz" are not actual real 120Hz displays once measured properly. that requires actual engineering rather than marketing. ( https://youtu.be/MbZUgKpzTA0 ) especially on phones lol. so no. no actual 120hz, we dont even have 60. and dont forget that whole system needs to have lo...

Re: Frame time differences between NVidia and AMD?

schizobeyondpills, all that is well and good. But in the end of the day if the difference between AMD and NVidia cannot be measured in miliseconds then I don't see why should I care about it for gaming latency wise. Can it be shown or can't it? Last thing I want is another Roach with discussions tu...

Re: Frame time differences between NVidia and AMD?

FPS is a useless metric. the more you have the more you need to deliver on time. one ms of latency is worth 1000fps. even if you can produce 1000 fps you have to deliver them to your monitor. modern systems are heavily crippled in latency due to so many error correction layers and bus saving feature...

Re: House causing PC Stutter/LAG, EMI/RFI?

guys pls stop with emi threads it sound same as chasing Casper. "House is haunted causing spooks" "House causing PC stutter" and im not saying this to flame or put anyone down. to get at the bottom of physics u start at the top. otherwise you wont have good knowledge or consistency of upper layers ...
