Hello,
I decided on the pg259qn with the new build but with current prices in Australia, I can get a 6900xt for less than a 3080... This will give better performance in general but for games like warzone where I don't reach stable above 360fps, I will want gsync/freesync technology.
An article (searched for hours) states that you can use freesync with this monitor (can't find exactly what v of module the monitor has though). I was wondering whether there is significant downsides to 6900xt on pg259qn.
I've researched builds for years and been lurking here without joining, finally going to build the PC just nervous about the 6900xt playing nice with this g sync monitor.
Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Re: Pg259qn freesync?
Is ULMB working with AMD on this monitor? AW2521H doesn't.

ULMB doesn't work on anything besides nvidia cards as far as I know. I made a thread regarding this if there was anyway to bypass this with CRU or something, but it seems like no.

Wow nvidia. lol. And the funny thing is G-SYNC chip monitors can cost $100-200 more. Kinda paying more for less.wlundstrom wrote: ↑29 Sep 2021, 11:19ULMB doesn't work on anything besides nvidia cards as far as I know

Agreed, typical Nvidia behaviour. Basically a lightswitch that requires brand loyalty. Hopefully some genius will figure out a way to bypass this.Discorz wrote: ↑29 Sep 2021, 14:00Wow nvidia. lol.
