My dear virtual friend..i will only say ..Alvaro Recoba

my solution for every dilemma you have is Acer 390hz 1080p..

I curently run that monitor on Acer Predator XB273U GX 1440p 270hz native timings.

pretty much the same exept Predator is on 10bit..and this tune is on 8bit..
you will not notice any difference regarding 8vs10bit

Predator 1k+ $ and this monitor you can find below 450 i think..
on native 1080p its pretty much as 2566k 360..lets say 85-90% if you want to be nitpicky..
but csgo or any fps more than enough..

mark my words..pretty much efficent for everything you need..

you can make it 4k 144hz without freesync or 120hz freesync premium..
strobing ..HDR400..etc..

i am pretty certain there is no better all arounder sort of say..
jack of all trades ,type of monitor,
it can suit yours every need..

wanna play LOL or Dota make it run like Predator 270hz 1440p
or 4k ..
wanna FPS Csgo Valo..etc
1080p 400hz or lower 720p 540p 400hz..

there is no monitor curently on the market
that can do all of that..

this monitor can do everything with 90% success
and i would rather buy this than any curently especially if you are on a budget
than its no brainer..
wish you all the best with the purchase :P
Thank you for this other option, I am trying to find it, but if you are talking about this one: https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/ ... #test_1425

It's not available for me T-T not sure why, it really seems amazing.

Alvaro Recoba lol

You do realize this is just upscaling/downscaling right? When you're buying 4k you're not buying the resolution, but the ppi it can offer.

@whitebox..i already submitted a msg..it didnt go thru..
yeah its that 1..try to find it..idk what 2 tell you man,unlucky..
if you find it i am here to help you with everything you need :)
Good luck!

@disco
my brother from another mother, whatever you say :)

i will just say this:

usual ppi for 4k is lets say around 180ppi...
and for 2k res is 100ppi

i have a monster 120ppi 2560x1440 pannel side by side with this acer running on predator native timings..
difference yeah there is 1..its TN vs IPS..colors etc..anything else..there is none..

so my dear brother from another mother,
sometimes we need to scratch the surface and look what is beyond.

I mean if u don't like the pixelation of native resolution than I guess you can use upscaling as a type of anti aliasing. But its definitely not the same as with real 4k 144Hz display.

I see you've played with resolutions, how come you don't use it at "4k or 2k" at 390Hz then? Why only 144 or 270Hz? It should be easily done.

Yo Disco,my brother..
I am noticing some roosters in a cage fight is goinK 2 happen :)

you already know the answer of "how come" question you are asking rn..You know it and I know it also.
(there are multple of reasons why dont, and wast majority of them, prooving that PPI is what you are buying)

To elaborate for wider audience..
This is a perfect example when some1 is leading you on a thin ice,
To prove his point and be like I told you so,and my point of wiew is only valid in current discusion.

So we gonna make a glorius jump to the end,and say..

Everything you say is completely valid and true,

this is just a poor atempt from us with a tight budget,
to look like we actualy did something significant..

as for example CPU Skylake era..

why buying z390 motherboard for lets say 9900k
when you can use the first Gen of z-170 and modded bios to make it work..
and that 300-400$ that you saved ,can be used into higher tier of Gpu for example..

Or maybe buying 4k 144hz with 180ppi instead of just using "simple upscaling down scaling" with cheaper series of monitors .

My brother :)

Aah I see. I just couldn't figure out from your wording if u really thought you're getting real 4k or if it was something of this nature.

However I don't know why not max Hz.

I was almost certain, that by this time those roosters are freshly showered,
and drinking beer and talking about that fight with a smile on their faces,i was wrong i guess..

there are couple of sentenses in my previus mmsg,
that was writen by design,so you can qoute them and show every1,
that you can diminsh yourself ,and be a bigger man..
instead you are qouting that 1 that is purposly there just to show oposite..my brother :)

now,we can continue this debate in dms,
its more suitable..

Regarding this thread and this topic,
I sincerely hope that you can contribute,
and help our virtual friend from Uruguay, with his problem.

My brother :)

In addiction. Go for a second hand XL2546K If u dont have lots of money. Its the second best 1080P monitor imo. ( best is the XL2566K) The pricedifference between the XL2546K and the XL2566K is arround 400 euro. Thats more then double; some people want to upgrade to the XL2566K and get rid of there old XL2546K. If I where u I would buy it max for arround 260 euro used in good condition or buy a openbox version on amazon for 350 euro.
Thank you for your insight.

Since I am from Uruguay, South America. I have only a few options to be honest:

1. BenQ Zowie XL2566K 24.5 in 360Hz Gaming Monitor - U$S 1.250,82 (Importing it from US to Uruguay)
2. BenQ Zowie XL2546K 24.5 in 240Hz Gaming Monitor - U$S 724,56 (Importing it from US to Uruguay)
3. Alienware AW2521H 24.5 in 360 Hz Gaming Monitor - U$S 979,00 (Buying it locally)

What do you think? (There are no second hand zowie's here)
Thats 500 euro more then in the west. But your setup is pretty good. The cpu and gpu. That gives me the assumption you have some money on the bank. If you can miss it then get the XL2566K. It will give your CPU and GPU the work for what they are attended to do. But if you can get in trouble spending the extra 500 euro or will lose sleep over it get the XL2546K. In addition if u can get the 1440P ROG Swift 360Hz PG27AQN for not more then 1500 euro then get that. Cause in west europe only scalpers sell them for 1400 euro. In the usa its better available for arround 1000 dollar. So for u 1500 dollar.

ASUS ROG Swift 360Hz 27” 1440P HDR Gaming Monitor (PG27AQN) - U$S 2.257,30 (Importing it from US to Uruguay)

It's way too expensive I think.

Is there any other option that would be middle ground between the XL2546K 240Hz and the XL2566K 360Hz? As previously mentioned, focus on competitive gaming
Thats way to expensive indeed. There is no monitor in between the XL2546K and the XL2566K that has the same motion clarity and or visibility. If u care about clear clean blurfree gameplay on 1080p there is no subsitute for the XL2546K with DYAC enabled.. In Apex and Warzone the monitor feels 95% the same as the XL2566K. And looks 100% the same. I Would get the XL2546K after u tripple checked the second hand market in your area if i was you. Its a very good monitor.
